Terms of Service
1. Purpose
These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between ChartQ (the "Company") and users of the Korean word puzzle Kyul (결) and its related website (the "Service").
2. Definitions
- "Service" means the game Kyul in its web and mobile application forms and all related websites operated by the Company.
- "User" means anyone who uses the Service under these Terms.
- "Paid Content" means content used for a fee, such as in-app purchases.
3. Effect and Amendment of the Terms
- These Terms take effect upon being posted in the Service or on the website.
- The Company may amend these Terms within the bounds of applicable law. Amendments, their effective date, and the reasons will be announced at least 7 days in advance (30 days for changes unfavorable to users).
- Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
4. Provision and Modification of the Service
- The Service is available free of charge without account registration and may include advertising (e.g., rewarded ads) and Paid Content.
- The Company may modify or discontinue all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons; material changes will be announced in advance.
- Game progress is stored on the user's device and may be lost when changing devices or uninstalling the app.
5. Paid Content and Refunds
- Payments for Paid Content are processed through app market operators such as the Apple App Store and Google Play, and their payment and refund policies apply.
- For digital content delivered immediately upon purchase, withdrawal rights may be limited as permitted by applicable law; this will be disclosed before purchase.
- Where a statutory refund right applies, users may request a refund through the app market operator or the Company (admin@chartq.app).
6. User Obligations
- Users must not access the Service by abnormal means, including hacking, reverse engineering, or automated tools.
- Users must not infringe the intellectual property or other rights of the Company or third parties.
- Users must not interfere with the operation of the Service or violate applicable law or these Terms.
7. Intellectual Property
All content included in the Service — the game, graphics, calligraphy, text, and trademarks — is owned by the Company. Users may not reproduce, distribute, transmit, or create derivative works from it without the Company's prior written consent.
8. Suspension of Service; Disclaimer
- The Company is exempt from liability where the Service cannot be provided due to force majeure such as natural disasters or telecommunications failures.
- To the extent permitted by law, the Company bears no liability in connection with the use of free portions of the Service.
- The Company is not liable for loss of game data stored on a user's device absent intent or gross negligence.
9. Governing Law and Disputes
- These Terms are interpreted and applied under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- The Company and users will attempt in good faith to resolve disputes; failing that, disputes may be brought before the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea.
